This Privacy Policy explains how Animor (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data. By using Animor, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

Animor is the data controller of your personal data.

1. Personal Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

Account Information

• Name, Surname and username

• Email address

• Password (encrypted)

Pet Profiles

• Pet name

• Pet type (dog, cat, etc.)

• Photos

• General details you choose to share

• Pet healty information

User Content

• Photos, posts, comments, messages

• Public profile information

• Likes or interactions

• Any other content you upload voluntarily

AI-Edited Photos (AI Styles)

• The photo you select and the AI style you choose, when you use the optional AI Photo Editing feature (see Section 1.1 below)

Device and Technical Data

• Device type, OS version

• IP address

• App usage statistics

• Crash logs and diagnostic data

Location Data (if enabled)

We may process approximate or precise location if:

• You enable location permissions

• You use features such as “find nearby pet owners”

You can disable location sharing at any time.

Communication Data

• Messages or reports sent to support

• Email communications

We do not collect payment information because Animor currently has no payments or subscriptions.

1.1 AI Photo Editing (AI Styles)

Animor offers an optional feature that applies AI-generated artistic styles to a photo you choose before sharing it. When you tap an AI style button:

• The photo you selected and the chosen style are sent over an encrypted connection to our servers and forwarded to our AI service provider (see below) to create the edited image.

• Before forwarding, we remove photo metadata (such as embedded location/EXIF data) and reduce the image resolution.

• We do not save your original or edited photo on our servers during this process. The edited image is stored by Animor only if you decide to share it as a post — exactly like any other photo you post.

• AI-edited posts are labeled with the style name so other users can recognize AI-edited content. Generated images may also contain an invisible provenance watermark (SynthID) added by our provider.

Who processes your photo: We route AI Photo Editing requests through OpenRouter, Inc., a third-party AI infrastructure provider, which forwards your photo to the underlying AI model that generates the edited image. We currently use:

• Google LLC (Gemini API), acting as our sub-processor. Google does not use your photo or the generated result to train its AI models. We configure this integration to use only Google's zero-data-retention processing option, so Google does not retain your photo or the generated result after your request completes. Processing may take place on servers in the United States; the transfer is safeguarded by the mechanisms described in the “International Data Transfers” section of this policy (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses / EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable).

• ByteDance (Seedream model), acting as our sub-processor. ByteDance does not use your photo or the generated result to train its AI models and does not retain your photo or the generated result after your request completes.

OpenRouter itself does not persist your photo beyond the time needed to route the request to whichever provider above handles it, except where retention is required for abuse prevention, security, or legal compliance.

We may add, remove, or replace the third-party AI providers or models used for this feature at any time — for example, to improve quality, cost, safety, or legal compliance. Any new provider must meet the same no-training, zero-retention standard described above. When we make a change, we will update this Privacy Policy (including the processor table in Section 4) to reflect the providers in use.

What we keep: a technical record that a generation happened (your account ID, the style used, timestamp, success/failure) to enforce fair-use limits and monitor costs — not the photo itself. If you share an AI-edited post, the style name is stored with the post.

Legal basis: your consent, given when you first use the feature (you can simply not use the feature; existing photos and posts are unaffected). You may withdraw consent at any time by not using AI styles; already-shared posts remain governed by the general posting terms.

A note on people in photos: please only apply AI styles to photos you have the right to use. If a photo includes people, make sure they agree — the photo is processed by our AI provider as described above.

2. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your data for the following purposes, as allowed by UK GDPR:

3. Lawful Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, EU GDPR and Türkiye (KVKK) we rely on the following lawful bases:

• Contract: To provide the Animor service you sign up for

• Legitimate Interest: Improve features, ensure safety, prevent misuse

• Consent: For optional features such as location services and AI Photo Editing

• Legal Obligation: When required by law enforcement or regulators

You may withdraw consent at any time for consent-based features.

4. Sharing Your Personal Data

We may share your data with:

Service Providers (Processors)

Such as:

• Cloud hosting

• Analytics tools

• Email delivery services

• Error-logging services

• OpenRouter, Inc., which routes your request to Google LLC (Gemini API) or ByteDance (Seedream model) — solely for AI image editing at your request, as described in Section 1.1

They may only process your data under our instruction. We may add, remove, or replace AI processors from time to time; the table below is updated when we do.

We do not share your data with advertisers at this time.

5. International Data Transfers

Animor may store or process data outside the UK, EU and Türkiye.

Where this happens, we use lawful safeguards such as:

• Adequacy decisions

• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)

• Secure encrypted hosting environments

Our AI Photo Editing feature involves processing by third-party AI providers, which may take place on servers located outside the UK, EU and Türkiye (see Section 1.1), safeguarded by the mechanisms above.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary for:

• Operating your account

• Providing the Service

• Legal or security requirements

• Resolving disputes

• Maintaining backups

When you delete your account:

• Most data is deleted immediately

• Backup copies may remain for up to 30–90 days

• Some minimal logs may be retained for security obligations

Photos processed through AI Photo Editing are not retained by us, and our AI providers are configured for zero retention as well; see Section 1.1 for details.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Animor may use:

• Device identifiers

• Analytics SDKs

• Crash reports

8. Children’s Privacy

Animor is designed for users aged 13 and above.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 is using the app, contact info@animorapp.com and we will delete the account.

10. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including:

No system is completely secure, and you use the Service at your own risk.

11. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time via the app or by emailing info@animorapp.com.

Upon deletion:

• Your profile and pet data are removed

• Public posts may be anonymized

• Copies may persist temporarily in backups

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to:

• Reflect new features

• Comply with legal requirements

• Improve transparency

We will notify users of significant changes.
Continued use of Animor after updates means acceptance of the revised Policy.
